Center Profile REGIONAL INTEGRATED AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH
CENTER for I VISION A Research and Development Center effectively responding to the technological needs for agricultural development in Eastern Visayas.
II. MANDATE To generate, adopt and popularize agricultural production technologies, produce quality germplasm, plant materials and parent stocks, and provide technical assistance for the improvement of living standard and resource productivity of farmers in Eastern Visayas.
III. FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist the Main RIARC in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Integrated RD/E Program of the region. 2. Conduct on-site demonstrations of improved or recommended technologies of the priority commodities appropriate for the region. 3. Maintain and reproduce germplasm of priority commodities of the region. 4. Integrate and package information generated from agricultural R & D activities suited for the region. 5. Harness improved material/stock and other research results from different research centers for commercialization and multiplication. 6. Conduct applied midstream and downstream researches to improve production technology packages for recommendation to farmers in the region. 7. Provide technical assistance.
